I love giving you far off shots from my actual eye out in the field! It offers a perspective on how vast these North Dakota Badlands really are and shows how tiny the horses actually appear in it. This is another shot of Stallion Wildrye as he patrolled his territory this day. Some hikers attempted to follow myself and Tiffany out to where they were, but had much trouble negotiating the land and were very obvious to this incredibly observant Stallion. He kept his eyes on them the entire time until they gave up and retreated out of site. Meanwhile, Tiff and I sat quietly with the Band and observed with no questions asked from Wildrye himself. What an honor that was for us! Leaving these horses as undisturbed as possible is always our number one goal and the reward of being graced with their presence is never taken for granted!
